Alison and Emerson took a great (but too short!) trip to New Jersey to visit the Stones in March. We had tons of fun and Emerson really enjoyed bonding with his grandparents. First, a disclaimer: while we somehow didn't take any pictures with Grandpa Scott, he was there and had some great moments with his grandson! (In fact, he took several of the pictures below.)
Our first day in NJ, we took Emerson to a cool indoor play place so he could do some climbing. Mommy had to get in there and help him with some of the more challenging elements--it was quite a workout.
Happy!
Mommy and Emerson made some music together.
Spending time with the grandparents was a highlight. For Grandma's birthday (a month late), we bought matching shirts with Harold and the Purple Crayon on them. They cozied up to read the book together.
Emerson also got a big kick out of hanging out with Uncle Eric. (He tried hard to learn Eric's name. "Ah-ko" is his best effort so far.) Last visit, Eric taught Emerson calculus. This time, he shared the secrets of Blue Steel.
Alison and Lori got to spend a day in New York while Grandpa Scott babysat. It was great fun, but they only took one picture the entire time...
And of course, there was lots of time for relaxing...
...and silliness!
Emerson missed his "Da-da" and "Puppy," but he loved seeing "Buppa," "Buppa" ("Grandma" and "Grandpa" sound the same!), and "Ah-ko."
