Brandon has been hard at work on his dissertation. Here he is in his office at school. The windows get a lot of sun, so all of our sad houseplants have been moved to the office for rehabilitation.
It hasn't been a particularly snowy winter (up until today!), but we've had a couple of chances for Emerson to try out his new snow boots...First, he got to practice in a light dusting from a couple of weeks ago.
Then today, Winter Storm Q came along. We all had a snow day from work and school, so we got to observe the accumulating snow and spend some time in it. Here was the view from our front door this morning.
And the front of the house, after Brandon shoveled the walk (but it was still snowing!).
In the afternoon, Emerson had a good time checking out the snow and practicing walking in his boots.
Back inside, he found time for horseback riding.
Now, we've got a lasagna in the oven and are watching round 2 of snowfall...About 10 inches fell earlier in the day, we're we're expecting another couple more this evening. It's a winter wonderland!

Sounds like a fun day. This post is just darling. WE love reading them and seeing the baby grow, grow, grow.
He's getting so big and adorable! And snow days are the best.
