Weather and a Photo Shoot

Summer is here (judging by the weather if not the calendar, officially). On cooler days, Emerson and Brisquette enjoy having breakfast out on the back patio.

Emerson loved checking out a big rainstorm on Memorial Day. He didn't want to come back inside!

Emerson apparently hasn't decided what season he wants it to be. Here he models a crisp summer straw hat with his snowboots.

He is pretty good about going down for naps and bedtime now, although we probably just jinxed it by typing that... (The sheet on one wall of his crib is to block the direct breeze from the air conditioner--yep, it's that time of year.)

Today, Father's Day, we discovered that the boys were color-coordinated. So of course we had to do a little photo shoot.

Emerson is turning into quite the thrill-seeker.

He also likes to point imperiously at things in his environment and have them identified and/or brought for his inspection. (I think here he is signaling that he wants to ring the doorbell.)

It was time for yet another haircut, and this time he sat by himself in the special kid booster seat (it looks like this). He was a little apprehensive at first but warmed up once we brought out the Sesame Street book and pointed out Elmo.

Happy summer!

Great post. I like him exploring the rain. That was really cute! That was wonderful that he sat in the barber chair. YAY!! Good idea taking the book :)

Oh my goodness, pretty sure him and Henry would be bff. They'd definitely bond over a love of Elmo. He's so cute! :)
