We're composting, although it's not certain that any of it will end up in the garden itself. But it sure keeps our trash can from smelling. This is all our (fruit and vegetable) scraps since mid-April. Surprisingly, no animals have disturbed it. Also, a small tomato plant is growing up from the corner of the pile. Awesome!
Today the sky was pink for awhile. When our camera broke a few years ago, all our pictures looked like this. But today our camera was fully functional and everything was actually pink.
10 points if you can guess what's going on in this video!

Are you trying to catch fireflies?
Now I see why all of my Midwest pals brag about their gardens. Those are beautiful pictures of yours. Those tomatoes are spectacular.
About the pink sky, in CA, we call that earthquake weather.
Don't you just find so much satisfaction from fondling your growing tomatoes and such? The garden looks wonderful! And I'm guessing you are looking in the trees for the bad guy the police are chasing. That would explain the sirens.
When my camera broke/was dropped by Caroline, everything was pink too! Love your garden. Jealous...
10 points to...Anonymous!
Mom, I was going to award you 5 points, but I'm taking them back due to your use of "fondling"--I hate that word. :-)
I saw the pink/purple sky too. It was awesome but I was too lazy to leave my apartment and take a picture. Cool picture.
Now, now, Alison. It's perfectly appropriate to enjoy the fruits of your labors.
With my 10 points: Please pay 4 to the federal government; 1 to the state of California; split another point between the counties of Los Angeles and Iron, and 1 point for tithing. Please redeem the remaining 3 points to buy something to stimulate the economy.
WOW pink sky! Your plants are looking awesome. Man I really want to plant a garden! And I have no idea what the video was.
