It's like Christmas When You Were 7

It's been an exciting day! The harvest has begun. (So far, it's a harvest of one, but there will be more where that came from.)

But even more exciting...

We've had this TV our whole marriage--Brandon bought it on Craigslist after we got engaged. But it was time to say goodbye. We tried to sell it on Craigslist, but none of the people who replied to the ad actually followed through and picked it up. So we resorted to a sure-fire disposal method. (It was gone within 20 minutes.)

Soon a vehicle arrived...

...and it was Christmas morning for Brandon!

The delivery men had never seen a TV so thin.

The box is as big as our refrigerator.

The people on TV are as big as Alison.

(What will she look like on it? Find out by watching Jeopardy on July 22nd...)

Here the TV displays an almost-life-sized image of our old TV. It had a 27 inch screen and weighed 94 pounds. The new one has more than twice the screen size and weighs about half as much--55 inches and 48 pounds.

This TV is so cool we're a little embarrassed to own it...

oo, fancy! Methinks you won a little money on Jeopardy and this was how it was spent...

I offered to buy him a compound miter saw with a laser guide for Father's day - sounds like a nice manly gift. It would actually be a gift for me. He then said we could go back in time and for Mother's Day he would buy me a 55 inch TV. Like yours. But I don't want a TV. I want a camera. He doesn't want a saw. He wants a TV. Sounds like we have a problem. Steve may be coming to visit.

The TV is wonderful. But for Brandon's 7th Christmas he got a 12 day old baby brother.
