The Stone family visited from New Jersey to attend cousin Brent's (and new cousin Kali's) wedding reception in Omaha...and visit their favorite grandson! It has been 5 months since Grandpa Scott last saw Emerson in person. I think he has grown a little!
After the reception, we headed to Brewburgers for some grub. On the way, we acquired another family member--cousin Sam (that's "Cousin-once-removed Sam" to Emerson).
As you might imagine, a lot of picture-taking happened this weekend.
On the way back from Omaha, we stopped at a rest stop to stretch our legs (and change our diapers...well, one of us needed that...). Neil practiced his pushups.
The Stones all stayed at a hotel on their last night in town so they could make it to the airport early in the morning. Emerson had his first chance to swim, in the hotel pool. He loved it! Looks like he inherited his dad's swimming genes and not his mom's--thank goodness.
Then it was time to towel off...
...and enjoy some snuggle time with an awesome uncle.
We ordered room service. Emerson wanted Mommy's apple crisp. Did we mention this kid likes to eat?
Thanks, Stones, for a great visit! Uncle Eric, we're sorry you couldn't come, but we know you were busy acing the SAT!

Looks like a fun weekend, and great weather. So glad you got to spend time at the hotel and pool and relax. Isn't Emerson the BEST!!!!
Lori, I see you have your hair pulled back also. I have to do that too. He doesn't pull mine, he just gets tangled in it.So glad you got to see him, hug, and hold him.
