Zion Narrows
We took a little spur-of-the-moment trip to southern Utah this weekend. Kenny came along and helped Brandon stay awake while driving there and back (Alison was useless for this because she falls asleep instantly in cars). We checked out this lake near the Robergs' Cedar City house.
On Monday, we headed to Zion National Park and hiked for a few hours in The Narrows. Before our hike, we went to an outfitter and rented some sturdy canyoneering shoes and neoprene socks. The shoes were great for gripping onto the slippery rocks and keeping our feet comfortable while hiking in the water.
As we were getting ready to start our hike, a squirrel came to investigate. Alison and the squirrel had a Moment.

Brandon created this video, which he thinks is hilarious. Alison attempts a feat of athleticism and Kenny helps.

Fun! We were going to do the narrows a few years ago, but we just couldn't get a weekend that worked...maybe this year.
That looks amazing...gorgeous! Good thing you rented canyoneering boots!
Good job Alison! You are such a real woman.
That was majestic.
